Magnet-locked elevator curtain usually refers to an electromagnetic control switch used to turn on and off the elevator motor. This device is sometimes called a “closed start-stop switch” and is part of the elevator control system.

When the starting (locked) magnet is activated, this allows electrical current to pass through the elevator motor, starting the movement. When the stop (locked) magnet is disabled, the power to the motor is cut off and the elevator stops moving.

This system allows elevator operators to control the operation and stopping of the elevator easily and safely. Closed Magnet – Curtain is one of the key elements in the elevator control system and must be carefully installed and maintained to ensure the safety and performance of the elevator.
